Southern Marin Broncos

The Southern Marin Broncos strive to develop upstanding men and women for Marin county and thus prepare them for success with their life journey. The great game of football is the byproduct for this development of tomorrow’s youth.

We build a culture unlike any other Bay Area sport that teaches and instills our core values of Safety, Teamwork, Commitment, Trust, Honor, and Pride. Together with league leading coaching, we have developed championship level youth tackle football teams and successfully prepared our athletes to take their love of playing football to the next level, whether it is high school or college football.

If your son or daughter has any interest in playing high school football, this is the time to get them playing to gain the experience and reps necessary for their success and safety on the field.

The responsibility of our athletes to play isn’t limited to just the field. They are required to have academic success in the classroom. Every player must maintain a B average and attend school or their play time / roster spot on the team will be impacted. The Broncos has a Scholastic board member who tracks every athlete twice a season.

FALL 2026 SEASON

The Broncos play in the North Bay Youth Football and Cheer league. You can find out more information here.

Games are on Sundays throughout the Fall season. The regular season starts after Fall Camp and runs through an 9 game regular season, ending in late October. Post season games will play in November.

ROSTER / TEAM ASSIGNMENTS

To optimize the player experience, all roster / team assignments will be made with Board approval. Our goal is to maximize the player experience and the number of players we can include in the Broncos, such that they are able to have a positive and safe season.

Considerations for roster / team assignments include and are not limited to: previous tackle football experience, player maturity, and player and team competitiveness.

Due to increased interest in our program, we will be holding tryouts this year. If your player is offered and accepts their team invitation, registration fees will be collected to confirm their registration. Tryouts will take place over two weekends in mid-May. Attendance at one tryout is mandatory. Two tryouts are highly recommended.

Your player’s coach will contact you prior to the start of Camp on August 3rd, 2026.

PER OUR REGISTRATION PROCESS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU FORFEIT YOUR ROSTER SPOT IF THESE FORMS ARE NOT TURNED IN CORRECTLY AND ON TIME. THESE DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR YOUR PLAYER TO TAKE THE FIELD FOR MANDATORY CONDITIONING CAMP ON AUGUST 3rd, 2026!

Please refer to the REGISTRATION page for more details with paperwork and email [email protected] with questions.

SEASON OPENING: FALL CAMP

Football camp
s open Monday, August 3rd, 2026, 4:45pm at Mill Valley Community Center.

Camp runs for 3 weeks, Monday through Friday from 4:45pm - 7:30pm, starting Monday, August 3rd through Friday, August 21st.

Participation in camp is MANDATORY FOR ALL PLAYERS due to safety, player development (physical, intellectual, and emotional), and team development.

PER OUR REGISTRATION PROCESS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU FORFEIT, WITH NO REFUND, YOUR ROSTER SPOT IF YOU MISS ANY CAMP PRACTICES.

We recognize that families often schedule vacation time in August and scheduling around football can be tough.  However, August conditioning and practice is an essential part of football programs everywhere, at every level, for safety reasons - and safety is our number one priority.

Prior to each team taking the field to face their first opponent at the end of August, we must ensure that each player:

  • Has completed their MANDATORY baseline testing. We will send you emails with dates, times, and steps to register and complete your players baseline testing.

  • Has the physical conditioning necessary to allow him to focus mentally on the game for the duration of a football game

  • Has the fundamental skills and knowledge of the game necessary to be safe and productive on the field

We will not permit kids to take the field who do not have the skills and fitness they need to have a good experience during a game, and in order for the kids to acquire the necessary level of fitness and skills, they need to attend Fall Camp in August.

Beyond that, California State law (AB-1) requires each player have a minimum number of practice hours under his/her belt before he/she can be certified for contact football.

The Broncos reserve the right to vacate roster spots for players who miss even 1 day of camp practice.

Practices throughout the season are MANDATORY as well. Missed practices are guaranteed to impact playing time.
