The Southern Marin Broncos are pleased to announce that our organization have joined American Youth Football (AYF) Nor Cal Youth Football Conference - http://ncalfootball.com/ to insure our five teams have a full 8 game schedule this year with teams that will provide great completion.
The new season schedule is posted on this page.
A Message from the Southern Marin Youth Football President:
I hope all of our Bronco families are enjoying the summer break. The 2010 season is just around the corner. I wanted to take just a minute of your time to communicate some of the league changes that have affected Southern Marin Football. In February Mountain Valley Conference voted to have 200-pound x-men on the midget division. Our association is opposed to the idea and our Board directed our association to steer kids away from the midget team. In June at the league board meeting MVL reversed their decision and D-2 eliminated the x-men from the midget division. Because of this change Southern Marin Football wants and needs to build a midget team. Unfortunately, this decision also has caused an upheaval in our coaching ranks. We are still working through this process. All Board members and especially our AD have the situation under control. Our goal is to give the best football experience possible to our players and families. Our goal is to have all head coaches named with coordinators by the end of next week if not sooner. We are lucky to have so many qualified coaches who are able to volunteer an incredible amount of hours to your kids. I am sorry for the confusion this has all caused across our teams. We definitely have a handle on the situation and will make another announcement as soon as we have everyone in place. Additionally, we will have a team mom named for each team to help coordinate paperwork and organize game-day responsibilities. If you have any questions please send along an email or call. Thanks. GO BRONCOS!!! Curt
